President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Imo State.
The jet carrying Buhari landed at the Sam Mbakwe Airport in Owerri, the state capital.
The state Governor, Hope Uzodinma, had earlier announced Buhari’s visit.
He said the president would commission some significant projects while in the state.
Some pro-Biafra groups had faulted the planned visit.
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, had declared a sit-at-home over Buhari’s visit, saying that the president is not welcome to the state.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had said the president was visiting Imo to mock people of the state.
A socio-political activist, Deji Adeyanju, had said the sit-at-home order would record large success.
